More than 50 U.S. fire departments took place over the course of 5 years working beside Dräger engineers, Firefighters engaged the equipment through movement and work, in firehouses, training grounds and drill towers across the country.  Hundreds of American firefighters — career and volunteer, officers and line firefighters, urban and rural — wore evolving prototypes and put them through real work. This effort relied on shared time under load, shared exposure to the realities of the job, and shared responsibility for 
getting the system right.
